Don't search for the break.
Drive straight to it.

Geo-Fiber watches your fiber optic network day and night and, on any fault, hands you the exact GPS coordinate of the break point. From the break to the coordinates. In seconds.

The problem

A fiber break today: hours of searching blind

Most mid-size networks have no permanent monitoring. The fault is discovered when users are already down — and finding it is a full field operation.

The traditional way

No permanent monitoring

  • You learn about the fault when the phone rings: users down, SLA clock running.
  • Someone hauls a portable OTDR to the site, measures, interprets the trace and estimates a distance.
  • An optical distance is not a position: the crew drives the route searching for the actual spot.
  • Brand-name monitoring systems (RFTS) cost thousands of dollars per test point and are quote-only enterprise sales.
With Geo-Fiber

A smart alarm with GPS

  • The sensor watches the span 24/7 and detects the break or degradation the moment it happens.
  • The platform projects the measured distance onto the actual cable route and computes the coordinate.
  • The alert arrives via Telegram and email with a Google Maps link: your crew navigates straight to the point.
  • No on-premise servers, no per-port licenses: a cloud NOC ready in days, not months.

How it works

SIRFO: your fiber tells you where it hurts

SIRFO — Intelligent Fiber Optic Tracking System — is our permanent monitoring sensor. Installed at one end of the span, it turns your fiber into a geolocated alarm system.

Detect

The sensor continuously measures the span's optical distance and signal health. A break or degradation is detected the instant it happens — not when somebody reports it.

STATUS: BREAK · 22.98 km

Geolocate

The platform projects that distance onto the actual cable route (georeferenced on the map) and computes the exact position of the fault. Not an estimate: a coordinate.

GPS: 10.250025, -67.837861

Alert

The NOC fires the alert via Telegram and email with a direct Google Maps link. Your crew doesn't search: it navigates to the point and repairs.

Early program The SIRFO sensor is in field trials with limited slots. If you want to be among the first to run it on your network, write to us.

The platform

A full NOC, not a chart viewer

Everything your operation needs to watch the network, in the cloud, from any browser. These are not mockups: they are real screenshots of the platform in production.

Geo-Fiber Connect · Software only

Already own monitoring equipment?
Connect it to our NOC.

Big-brand management systems are locked to their own hardware and quoted as enterprise projects. Geo-Fiber Connect opens our NOC to the equipment you already own — third-party OTUs, RTUs and OTDRs — and you pay only per connected sensor per month.

Compete with the big players without paying like one.

REST ingest API

Your API-capable equipment (or thin scripts in between) publishes telemetry straight to the platform, authenticated with a per-device token.

📡

SNMP

Geo-Fiber acts as your NMS: it receives traps from your RTUs/OTUs and turns them into geolocated alerts.

Modalities

Four ways to keep your network watched

Four ways to hand you the same complete toolkit: you monitor your network, receive your alerts and lead the response. No list prices: tell us about your network and we'll build the proposal.

SIRFO Owned

Buy the sensor, pay for the platform as a service.

  • SIRFO sensor you own
  • Monthly NOC SaaS
  • Alerts + reports + field crew app
  • Installation support

The honest alternative

Geo-Fiber vs. enterprise-brand monitoring

Big-brand RFTS systems are excellent — and out of reach for most mid-size networks. Here is the comparison with no makeup.

Geo-Fiber Enterprise RFTS (VIAVI, EXFO, VeEX…) Portable OTDR on demand
Break detection Automatic, 24/7 Automatic, 24/7 Only when someone measures
GPS position of the fault Coordinate + Google Maps On its own GIS Optical distance to interpret
Entry cost A fraction of enterprise, no per-port licenses Thousands of USD per point + server + licenses~ Instrument from thousands of USD + operator
Required infrastructure None: cloud NOC Servers and an integration project~ None
Third-party equipment Yes, with Connect (REST/SNMP) Locked to their own hardware
Telegram/email alerts with Maps Built in~ Via custom integrations
Language & support Spanish & English, straight to engineering~ Distribution channels
Time to value Days Months (a project)~ Immediate but manual

Enterprise RFTS systems offer forensic capabilities (full OTDR traces, multi-fiber optical switches) that Geo-Fiber does not pretend to replace. Our job is different: making sure you know that there is a fault and where it is, instantly, at a cost your operation can afford.

FAQ

What we get asked before quoting

What exactly is SIRFO?
SIRFO — Intelligent Fiber Optic Tracking System — is our permanent monitoring sensor. Installed at one end of the span, it continuously measures optical distance and signal health. When something changes (break or degradation), the platform computes the fault's position over the actual cable route and fires the alert with the GPS coordinate.
Does it replace my OTDR?
No, and it doesn't try to: they are different tools. The OTDR is the forensic instrument — used on demand, operator required, returns a trace to interpret. SIRFO is the alarm system: it watches 24/7 unattended and tells you that there is a fault and where it is, in seconds. Many customers use both: SIRFO to know and get there; the OTDR for fine post-analysis if needed.
What do I need to get started?
One end of the span with power and connectivity for the sensor (or your existing equipment, if you go with Connect), and your fiber's route — if it isn't georeferenced yet, you draw it in our route editor with automatic snap-to-road. The platform is 100% cloud: no servers or software to install.
Which third-party equipment works with Connect?
Any equipment able to report telemetry outward: OTUs/RTUs with a REST API, SNMP-capable devices, or systems that can fire webhooks. If your equipment speaks a proprietary protocol, we build the adapter against your real case. Write to us with your equipment models and we'll confirm the integration path.
Why don't you publish prices?
Because every network is different: kilometers, number of spans, modality (owned, loan-for-use, managed or software-only) and volume change the proposal. What we can say upfront: our entry cost is a fraction of enterprise-brand systems. Quotes carry no commitment and we answer fast.
What stage is the product at?
The NOC platform is in production — the 24/7 demo you can open right now runs on it. The SIRFO sensor is in an early program: field trials with limited slots. If you're interested in being among the first, this is the best moment to join: preferential terms in exchange for real feedback.
Is my data safe? Who can see my network?
The platform is multi-tenant with strict isolation: each customer sees exclusively their own network, with roles and per-fiber access you manage yourself. All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/WSS), sessions are audited and sensor ingest is authenticated with per-device tokens.
